Stormy weekend ahead on the Shroppie
Moored Knighton, Shropshire Union Canal
My collie bitches are real ‘girlies’, and although keen this evening to nip out onto the towpath for a late night sniff, they stuck their noses out of the covers and felt the rain and it was about turn!
But they were persuaded to go do what collies do before retiring to bed, but super fast.. can’t blame them, ‘tis blowing a gale and pouring with rain right now. I am cosy, I love to hear the wind and rain outside, and the pitter patter of the rain on the roof will make me sleep well tonight. You don’t hear that in a house you know.
I did a bit of damage to my back when we did the logs the other day, so I have been taking it easy today, although there was a break in the weather early afternoon for me to take the dogs out. I really do love it here, the tracks through the nearby estate are mud free, and there are plenty of them with lots of circular walks available…
I think they are content, they are both snoring now.. I think I will go and enjoy the pitter patter and do much the same as the canines.. enjoy your weekend whatever you might be doing..
