Time to relax at Thrapston..

Moored Thrapston, River Nene

A very lazy morning this morning before going into the town to pick up mail from the Post Office and milk and fresh veg from the co-op supermarket at the top of town, oh and some fresh eggs from the butchers too..

Having sorted the mail, I met up with Ann and we walked over to Titchmarsh Nature Reserve, about half a mile downstream from where we had moored. We passed a bird hide and did a bit of ‘twitching’ spotting all manner of birds on the lake, some of which I knew and some I didn’t.. very pleasant.

I popped into the vets this afternoon just to get Lucy checked out progress wise.. she is still on three legs, the trouble is there is no muscle at all for that hind leg to be able to be walked on.. a catch 22 situation “Build the muscle and she should walk on it” said the vet, well that’s OK, but I need her to walk on it to build the muscle!! .  She is doing OK though, it is all going to take time..  (New readers of the blog, Lucy had an accident in May which has damaged her hip).

So all in all a quiet, relaxing day today.. on the move again tomorrow I think..
